Risa Beth Sydelle,
New York born and raised, is currently a freelance writer and
grant researcher. Her professional journey has been eclectic
and has included everything from social work and retailing to
safety administration and working for two New York state senators,
with a variety of other stops along the way.
As a freelance writer she has authored a column covering
local politics for an upstate New York newspaper, social commentary,
marketing materials, grants, newsletters and just about everything
else.
Risa Beth has been a community activist for more than thirty
years and has a deep belief in the power of each individual
to change the world. She is a member of “Project Safehouse,”
an ongoing committee of individuals that works with the Center
for Community Solutions, an organization dedicated to assisting
women and children who are the victims of domestic violence
or sexual abuse.
Ms. Sydelle holds a BA in Psychology from Miami University
of Ohio and an MBA in Organizational Management from Iona
College in New York.
